WHAT IS A SENIOR TEAM?
A member of the Senior Team is a model and spokesperson for the senior portrait photography program here at K Nicole Photography.
In addition to your individual stylized senior portrait session, you join a team of other high school seniors across the state of Maryland to participate in group shoots and themed mini shoots, while being treated to professional hair and makeup styling. By the end of your senior year, you will have received over 1,000 high resolution images with unlimited downloads.

PROFESSIONAL HAIRSTYLING & MAKEUP APPLICATION

The right kind of makeup can make or break your photos. Really.
While I believe we are all absolutely beautiful without a full face of glam, I want every shoot day to be a day that you can feel like the best version of yourself. We don’t go full glam over here, either. Enough to enhance your natural features for the camera and give you a beautiful glow!
The pros know what products to put in your hair AND how to style it so that it looks smooth and flattering for your photos. Professional hairstyling is a game changer from my perspective as a photographer as it cuts down on the amount of flyaway hair I have to edit, which means getting your gallery back faster!
Professional hair and makeup is provided at 3 shoots. Two styled shoots, and your personalized senior portrait session.

BOUTIQUE STYLING EXPERIENCE WITH
Sage 47 Boutique
You don’t have to buy a single outfit throughout your entire time on the program.
You read that right. The sisters at Sage 47 have you covered!
We’ll shop at the boutique before the shoots and you’ll get to pick out whatever you want to wear! At the end of each shoot, i’ll return them for you, or you can choose to purchase your clothes that you rented.

MINI SESSIONS
Valentine’s Day, Christmas, New Years, Halloween, the Taylor Swift eras, county fair, wildflower fields, or a creative theme we come up with as a group. Professional hair and makeup is not provided for the mini shoots, but tons of creativity and group collaboration go into these!

Styled group sessions are an all day experience. We start getting ready at the hair and makeup artist’s studio in St. Mary’s County in the late morning/early afternoon (depending on time of year and location of the shoot). Snacks, iced coffee, drinks, and music are all included! After that, we head out to shoot for about 2 hours until the sun sets.

INDIVIDUAL SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSION
Your senior portrait session is included as a member of the KNP Senior Team. Every member gets priority scheduling for their individual senior portrait session. This includes:

As a member of the KNP Senior Team, you have the opportunity to earn money back from your senior portrait session fee!
You receive $50 for each referral that books a senior session with me. Once you earn back your session fee, you’ll receive $25 per referral thereafter.

I applied because I was looking for a photographer to do my senior portraits but didn’t want to pay a lot of money for only one session. KNP ambassador program came with a lot of perks perfect for capturing my entire senior year and I received a lot of great pictures from the program.

My favorite part is meeting a bunch of new people and receiving all the pictures from the shoot.

My favorite group shoot was our summer shoot/4th of July because the weather was perfect that day and we all got to get in white dresses and run around on the beach. It was the moment I really realized I was a senior.

I would say to current HS Junior that it is so worth it with all the pictures you recieve, you have a lot of opportunity to create your own images too and come up with different ideas for shoots. You get pictures throughout your entire senior year of very different variety and get to meet some amazing people.

I applied because I saw it as a great opportunity to capture memories with my friends and even make new ones, while also being able to capture special moments of my senior year.

My favorite part was my personal shoot and getting to explore an art museum in D.C.

My favorite group shoot was our first shoot. Even though it rained, we managed to get beautiful images inside and we all had so much fun together.

I applied because I had seen some of her work on instagram and knew that her style was something I liked. I really liked seeing the photos of her ambassadors/clients being so happy. After looking into her more I realized that she would be a great option for my senior portraits and I figured why not try and apply to her program.

I absolutely love the energy at shoots between the relationships between each other and how positive Kristen is.

I think my favorite group shoot would have to be the fall shoot. It was just so fun and cozy and I liked how the photos came out.

REQUIREMENTS
Pay senior session fee of $695 (due by the meet and greet to participate)
Attend the meet and greet.
Attend an in person or virtual applicant meeting with a parent.
Attend at least the 2 styled group sessions.
Be active on social media, sharing photos and behind the scenes from sessions and tagging @k.nicole.photography.
Refer your friends and family!
Provide creative input for all sessions and HAVE FUN!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No! I know senior year is BUSY. The mandatory events are the meet and greet and both stylized group sessions. (And your senior session, if you want to count that! 😉) The mini sessions are just bonus shoots to be creative and have fun.

Not at all! Most of my seniors have never had a professional photo taken of themselves before. I’ll guide you every step of the way. You will be amazed at how comfortable you are in front of the camera by the time you graduate!

Applications open on January 5th and remain open for one month until February 5th. They may close early without warning if I reach max capacity for applicant interviews! View the timeline below for all important dates.

Attendance at all of the large group shoots is highly encouraged. I understand that life happens sometimes, so if you miss one it’s okay!

From the start of hair and makeup to when we finish shooting, the whole day is about 6 hours.

Mini shoots are much less time consuming. Depending on what decorations and props there are to set up, a mini shoot typically is less than 2 hours.

We are all about creating a positive and uplifting environment for everyone. I’m looking for upcoming high school seniors that are involved in their community, kind-hearted, motivated, willing to contribute their creativity to the group and HAVE FUN!

The selections for the ambassador team will be announced on Monday, February 12th via phone call/FaceTime. **Parents! I will contact you beforehand to let you know your senior has been selected. View the timeline below for all important dates.
