London Inspired Wedding at The Maine of Williamsburg in Virginia

Caitlin grew up in the Williamsburg, Virginia area and moved to London, United Kingdom to study abroad. While she was studying, she met the love of her life, George. They decided to plan a wedding in Williamsburg so more of Caitlin’s family could attend. Huge shoutout to Caitlin + George for planning a wedding while “across the pond”. It’s no easy feat.

Caitlin + George’s wedding was like no other. With emerald green as their primary color and touches of cream and burnt orange spread throughout, it was a literal dream to photograph. Caitlin’s dress was a custom gown from Mirror Mirror Bridal Couture. I actually was able to chat with them after Caitlin’s bridal portrait session (link here to the other blog that was on my old site, please!) and they sent me a picture of the original dress she purchased versus the final gown that she was delivered and it was completely INSANE to see the transformation.

There were the smallest notes to the U.K. sprinkled throughout the wedding but the most notable were the tea towels at every guests seat and their final exit where the guests waved their tea towels goodbye to the newlyweds.

And to add a final note, The Maine of Williamsburg was an absolute dream of a venue to work with. The staff was very communicative, friendly, and accommodating. They even joined in at the reception to show off their dance moves and get some photos in the photo booth with the bride and groom. 100% recommend over and over again.
